Who am I?

Hi there, my name is Alex. I’ve worked in game development for over a decade and a half now as Senior Quality Assurance in Vancouver B.C.
I’m good at that job, and take pride in what I do, but I’ve always wanted to actually make games myself. Not just test them.

A few years ago I opened up a clean project in the Unreal Engine and promised myself that I was gonna complete a small game idea I had. No matter how long it took, or how bad the game would be, I would complete it.

Three years of on and off work, with gaps sometimes lasting months, I released my first game Dark Strolls. It wasn’t great, but it wasn’t really that bad either. The important thing was that I completed my goal of making a game. I had made many mistakes along the way, but learned a lot of lessons too.

Immediately afterwards I started working on my next game that would eventually be called The Labyrinth At The End Of Time.

I’m still making solid progress on that project – but I’m far from even being close to done yet.

I’m currently working fulltime as a Senior QA at a mobile game studio and working on The Labyrinth At The End Of Time whenever I am able to.

If you’d like to talk to me for whatever reason check out the Contact Me page.

Cheers,
-Alex M
